Sunday 10 May 2026 Maypole Magic! A huge thank you goes to Mrs Wenham for leading the Bodsham Maypole dancers at the Hastingleigh Spring Fair on Monday. The performance was beautifully coordinated and looked incredibly polished, delighting the crowd and showcasing the pupils' hard work and enthusiasm.

Sunday 10 May 2026 Poetry & Music Festival As part of the Canterbury Festival, Bodsham hosted a poetry and music festival for our Year 5 and 6 children Last week. Organised jointly with Langdon Primary School, the children were treated to some spooky artefacts to inspire their writing, and were wowed by singing from an expert Opera singer who taught them some songs and helped them understand how their voices work. Thank you Ms Allen from Bodsham and Mrs Newton from Langdon for organising such an inspiring event!

Monday 17 November 2025 Thank You for Keeping Bodsham Beautiful One of the strengths of our community is how supportive our parents are. Last Saturday 8th November our parents, teachers and children came together to do the big autumn clear up on our Beautiful Bodsham Day. Much sweeping and blowing of leaves, clearing of gutters, putting up of boards, jet washing of decking and front of the school, digging of weeds and trimming of shrubs took place. We are so grateful for everyone's help - and the sun shone too! The kids were brilliant - just look at Georgie drilling the holes for our new chalkboard and Sam jetwashing! I wonder if we need to put them on the payroll? Thank you to our superstar team.

Friday 14 November 2025 Bishop Rose Visits Bodsham Bodsham School was honoured to welcome Bishop Rose Hudson-Wilkin on Friday 14th November as she joined pupils and staff for a joyful celebration worship, answered a wide range of thoughtful theological questions, and officially opened, blessed, and dedicated our newly completed space — The Rose Room, named by the children in her honour.

Friday 16 May 2025 Mrs Allen is Kent Teacher of the Year! I am immensely proud to announce that Mrs Allen has received the award of Kent Teacher of the Year in the Folkestone and Hythe District. Any parents whose children have had the good fortune to spend time in Mrs Allen’s class will know she has an almost instinctive ability to build both confidence and learning in children at the same time. At the end of their journey with her, Bodsham’s children are invariably confident and ready to face the challenges of secondary school. Well done Mrs Allen – you thoroughly deserve this award. A big thank you to all parents who helped put together her nomination. Bodsham has now won this award twice in two years – incredible!
