  • Friday 16 May 2025 Mrs Allen is Kent Teacher of the Year! I am immensely proud to announce that Mrs Allen has received the award of Kent Teacher of the Year in the Folkestone and Hythe District. Any parents whose children have had the good fortune to spend time in Mrs Allen’s class will know she has an almost instinctive ability to build both confidence and learning in children at the same time. At the end of their journey with her, Bodsham’s children are invariably confident and ready to face the challenges of secondary school. Well done Mrs Allen – you thoroughly deserve this award. A big thank you to all parents who helped put together her nomination. Bodsham has now won this award twice in two years – incredible!

  • Friday 14 June 2024 Sports Day 2024! Sports Day on Monday 10th June was a real family affair with our whole community coming together for a (rather chilly) family picnic before starting our sports afternoon. Each team took part in a parade to their chosen music before Miss Hughes, our wonderful Sports Lead, began a warm-up for the whole school ready for the team activities. Each team then enjoyed 8 activities including cricket super smash, javelin, move the hoop and push the pig! After a drink and rest break, teams went back to their class groups to take part in the running races and relay. Children showed fantastic team work and sporting values throughout the afternoon, demonstrating resilience, encouraging others, and cheering the winners. We are very proud of them all!
